First Niagara changeover encompasses shoreline First Niagra
Sign Lite was hired in April 2011 by Ulrich Sign of Lockport, NY, to obtain permits, remove existing signage, install new First Niagara signs and unveil them at 38 New Alliance Bank locations along the coast of Connecticut from Chester to Cos Cob. Sign Lite staff was able to obtain all the necessary permits for all locations within a six-week period. We then focused on the two weeks allotted for installing all the signs and the 2 ½ days scheduled for the unveiling.

Schedule:
• Sign removal/installation began on April 2, 2011 and was completed on April 15
• The unveiling was completed by three, three-man crews starting after 3 p.m. on Friday, April 15 and working until late in the day on Sunday, April 17
• The bank opened as First Niagara on April 18, 2011

Project components:
• Removed and installed 19 illuminated pylon signs, 10 illuminated wall signs, 39 sets of illuminated channel letters, 8 sets of aluminum plate letters and 122 directional signs
• Fabricated and installed two, 14 foot x 14 foot illuminated logos for the rooftop of First Niagara’s New Haven headquarters
• Rebranded 35 ATMs, 37 sets of interior plate letters
• Removed, recovered and reinstalled 11 awnings

Wachovia/Wells Fargo Bank Conversion includes 43 locations 
Wells Fargo
In the fall of 2010, Sign Lite partnered with Image One from Croydon, Pennsylvania to changeover the signage of the former Wachovia Bank to Wells Fargo at 43 locations throughout the state. This large project began with procuring 39 sign permits in less than three weeks.

Schedule:
• Fall 2010: Image One contacts Sign Lite to begin the project
• Three Weeks’ time: 39 sign permits were procured throughout the state
• January, 2011: 43 sets of channel letters were installed along with 17 new pylon signs and 12 new monument signs
• March, 2011: Five of Sign Lite’s crews unveiled the signs at 41 branches of Wells Fargo throughout Connecticut in less than 15 hours

Project components:
• Five crews were deployed with the task of unveiling the new signage at 41 Wells Fargo Bank branches throughout the state in 15 hours
• In that 15 hours, Sign Lite removed 83 sets of channel letters and installed 83 new sets of illuminated and non-illuminated channel letters
• 17 Wachovia pylons were replaced with 17 Wells Fargo pylons
• 12 monument signs were removed and 12 new monument signs were installed, some requiring site excavation and foundations.
